• Start with Vocal Clarity: This is the most important score for everyone. A high score means your voice will sound rich, clear, and professional.
• Next, consider your room: If you record in a space with background noise like a fan, computer hum, or street traffic, a high Noise Rejection score is critical. If you have a quiet, treated room, you can prioritize other features.
• Think about your tech skills: If you want to plug in and start recording immediately, push the Ease of Use slider all the way up. If you're comfortable with extra gear like an audio interface, this is less important.
• For video creators: If your mic will be on screen for streams or YouTube videos, pay close attention to the On-Camera Look score.

The microphone market is full of buzzwords. Here are three common traps to avoid:

1. The 'Studio Quality' Myth: Many budget brands label their products as 'studio quality'. This term is meaningless without context. Instead of falling for the label, trust our Vocal Clarity score, which is based on real-world performance for voice recording.
2. The All-in-One Kit Trap: Bundles that include a mic, stand, pop filter, and shock mount seem like a great deal. However, the accessories are often flimsy and low-quality.
